How do I become a staff writer?
We accept volunteer writers to help spread the word about the city's great entertainers. We ask that you have excellent grammar and punctuation skills, have life and a touch of humor in your writing and are above average when meeting deadlines. This is a great resume builder so if you do a good job we will add you to the staff page. If you just want to be an occasional contributer and have a story relating to an event in Louisville, a review of a show you attended, an excellent article on a local venue or anything of an entertainment nature send us that as well. We will look over what you send and let you know if we are able to use it or not. Now let your voice be heard!
What cities do Louisville Limelight Cover?
Although we are located and focus heavily on Louisville, we have neighboring cities that perform here regularly, thanks to our grand appeal and those bridges. So, we cover Louisville, Valley Station, Radcliff, Vine Grove, Brandenburg, West Point, Elizabethtown and pretty much any city within an hour drive from Louisville's borders, both Kentucky and Indiana. This also includes our Southern Indiana neighbors, Clarksville, Sellersburg, Jeffersonville, Charlestown, New Albany, Memphis.
Also, since we share in Hip Rock Magazine's good fortune, we regularly present entertainers who perform here from all over the world or those making a big splash we think the city would be excited to know about. Thanks to Hip Rock Magazine we have entertainers and media stations all over the world shining a little light and love on our entertainers as well. So we win always!
